As a contractor in business since 1979, one of the greatest joys we experience is when our clients consider us a trusted ally and continue to entrust their home improvements to our team of expert craftsmen. It had been nearly a decade since we’d first had the opportunity to work on Thomas’ 1970’s era split-level home in Ramsey county, Minnesota. He continued to be appreciative of our company’s dedication to quality and knew that our craftsmen will always complete a flawless installation. This time he called upon our team of experts because cedar shake roof his had begun to noticeably deteriorate. In addition, he wished to upgrade his home’s preexisting rain gutters. It was a priority to find clog-free gutters as a lasting solution, as his beautiful property was adorned with many stately trees. Ultimately, Thomas invested in GAF Glenwood® shingles and LeafGuard® Brand Gutters. Here is why the two proved to be such a winning combination.
GAF Glenwood® Shingles Were Selected For A Roof Replacement:

There was an easy argument for finding asphalt shingles that imitated the aesthetics, without the expensive and repetitive maintenance of cedar shakes wood shingles. GAF shingles proved to be a perfect fit. Even more specially, the GAF Glenwood shingles are ultra-dimensional and have earned the reputation of being the most authentic looing wood-shake shingle within the marketplace.
In all, over 1,100 bundles of asphalt shingles were used on Thomas’ 126 square roof. This number becomes even more impressive when it is understood that the average US asphalt roof is comprised of 17 squares. The color used on Thomas’ roof was Golden Prairie; it was the ideal complement to the home’s buttery yellow siding. GAF Glenwood® shingles carry the best possible fire rating and are accompanied with a 50-year, non-prorated warranty that covers both labor and materials.
