Consumer Siding Preferences

The number one home siding material being installed nationwide is vinyl. When you start moving up the level of price point and square footage cost to construct, many homeowners shift away from vinyl siding and more towards the fiber cement class. Two of the most well-known materials in this class are LP SmartSide® and James Hardie®.

LP® SmartSide® Installation

Many contractors gravitate towards installing LP® Smart Siding because it’s easier to install and does not require special equipment. Unlike James Hardie® siding, LP® Smart Siding installers are not required to wear protective gear, such as respirators to protect them from the silica plumes that are produced when cutting the siding. LP® Smart Siding installation projects can also be over 10% faster than James Hardie®, lowering installation costs. There are fewer seams on LP® SmartSide® installations because lengths are 16’ vs the 12’ lengths James Hardie comes in. Another feature that sets LP SmartSide® apart from James Hardie® is that it is not impacted by efflorescence. The phenomenon takes place when salts and minerals are absorbed into the product during the drying phase. Lastly, LP® SmartSide® offers a category leading 5/50 warranty that offers a 5-year 100% labor and replacement feature on the material.

"Highly recommend. Quality of work and installers was excellent. I am enjoying siding, windows, gutters and a front door. They will be my first call when I come up with another project."

"Once it was scheduled it went pretty quickly, even in extreme weather conditions. TJ did a good job of overseeing his crew and keeping me informed. During final inspection by Josh, he found some errors made years ago when our roof was last shingled ( not by Lindus). He corrected the errors. The final result- seamless steel siding, window trim, and LeafGuard® Gutters is beautiful."

"Tyler was exceptional. He explained what he would be doing and patiently answered our questions. He provided an honest opinion of what was needed and what he felt wasn't needed. I appreciated his honesty as many companies just try to sell services that aren't necessary. Lindus has worked for us previously and I've been very impressed with their employees and their products."

"We’ve used Lindus on, I think, for four projects. All the way from scheduling and appointment to inspection/evaluate some situation to project completion. Looking for a quick/cheap solution, good luck on that. You will not regret hiring Lindus to do a home project, no matter the scope. Lindus has a long family history in the area of home improvement."

"We had Charlie and Scott handle our basement project and couldn't be more happy. They allowed us to choose options for what they would do for us while we took on some work ourselves. They both made sure the job and quality were exceptional."

"I signed another contract with Lindus Construction — this time to spray foam and fully seal my attic, followed by an additional top layer of insulation. This is not a simple job. My home has a very complex Unico high-velocity air conditioning system running throughout the attic, and Lindus still took it on without hesitation."
